During its bicentennial year, our first thoughts about Mississippi are likely to come from our deep sense about the land itself. Places in the Land exhibits work by six of Mississippi’s notable landscape photographers. Each artist demonstrates in a series of five prints his or her personal vision of—and reverence for—special places across Mississippi’s remarkably broad and varied landscape.
The photographers are Ashleigh Coleman, Jackson; Thomas Pearson, Hattiesburg; Euphus Ruth, Greenville; David Wharton, Oxford; Brooke White, Oxford; and Malcolm White, Jackson.
