Do you use Google? Want to learn how to search Google more effectively? Join Elena Azadbakht, reference librarian, for a workshop on advanced Google search strategies.
Participants will learn how to use Google’s advanced search features to find information on the web more efficiently and how to search Google Scholar more effectively. Special attention will be paid to locating creative commons images and government information. Participants will also learn about a few alternative search engines such as Wolfram Alpha.
The workshop will be offered twice, first on Tuesday, March 24 at 3 p.m. and once again on Wednesday, March 25 at 10 a.m. Both sessions will take place in the Cook Library instruction classroom (LIB 110) and are open to the public; registration is not required.
