Developing Home photography exhibit at Cook Library

Southern Miss advanced photography students Jill Johnson and Jesse McDonald exhibit their photographs for the first time with a show they curated called "Developing Home." Photography professor Betty Press wanted to give her students the opportunity to prepare and present their own exhibit as a final project. Jill Johnson, who grew up in Florida, writes of the show, "The title of the exhibit is ‘Developing Home,' which has such a significant meaning to me. I have been away from the place I have always called home for almost five years now. I miss it every day. I have tried with this group of photographs to make Mississippi feel more like home." The exhibit will be on display in the Gallery at Cook Library until June 10.
