A workshop that teaches how to use a free, limited version of EndNote called EndNote Online Classic or EndNote Basic. This citation management tool can create bibliographies in a variety of styles. In addition, it can be used with Word to insert citations in your work.

One of the goals for most graduate students is to see their research published in a scholarly book or journal. But publication agreements tend to be filled with complicated legal jargon, and it can be difficult to understand just what you’re agreeing to when you sign on the dotted line. In this session, we will cover some of the basics of copyright and licenses that you need to know. Then we will look at some contract examples and walk through some simple strategies you can use to interpret these complex documents. The concepts covered in this session will equip you to advocate for yourself more effectively when submitting your research for publication.
