University Libraries' Special Collections at Southern Miss is accepting applications to serve as a student curator for the Spring 2017 semester. Student curators will work with a librarian to create a one-case exhibit featuring materials from Special Collections and learn how to select items for display, install the materials, write labels and exhibit text, and publicize the exhibit. Student curators are required to select topics and materials for their exhibit from the materials found in Special Collections at the University of Southern Mississippi.

A list of select topics may be found at http://libguides.lib.usm.edu/special_collections_topics by major. We encourage topics outside of this list as well. This opportunity is available to all undergraduate and graduate students at USM. Three students will be selected to serve as student curators for Spring 2017.
