Civil Rights Museum Director to Give Black History Month Presentation

In conjunction with Black History Month, The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Library will feature a special presentation by Jacqueline Dace, project director for the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum which is scheduled to open in Jackson in 2017. The presentation will be held Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, noon-1 p.m. in Hardy Hall Dining Hall on the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.

As project director, Dace, who has 20 years of museum experience, is currently overseeing the building of the museum. She most recently served as the collections manager of the DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago and has also served as an adjunct professor at Washington University in St. Louis.
