To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the DuBard School for Language Disorders, University Libraries, in coordination with the DuBard School, have designed an exhibit featuring Etoile DuBard, founder of the DuBard School. Dr. Etoile DuBard: Pioneer, Teacher, Inspiration will be on display in the lobby of Cook Library from November 7, 2012 to January 18, 2013.

Etoile DuBard led a full and inspiring life. From her naval career during WWII to her work with the education of children with speech, language, and hearing disorders, dyslexia and other reading disabilities, Etoile was an inspiration to those around her. Over the course of her teaching career, she helped thousands of children and their families. From a multitude of students faced with language-speech and hearing challenges, to the university students who learned under her guidance and direction, Etoile's scholarship, compassion, and generosity is reflected in the lives and work of all who had the privilege of calling her teacher, professor, mentor, and friend. The DuBard School for Language Disorders continues her work today.
