The Friends of University Libraries invite the university and community to an author talk and book signing at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, in the Cook Library Art Gallery (LIB 105A).

Hattiesburg portrait photographer and artist Vaughn Wilson will discuss stories of special horses and his 40,000-mile journey around the United States interviewing, photographing and painting extraordinary horses and horse lovers such as Charlie Daniels, Roy Rogers Jr., Michael Martin Murphey, and Red Steagall.

Wilson’s spectacular photographic essay book, Tell Me About That Horse, was the winner of the 2011 Will Rogers Medallion Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Publishing of Western Literature. Books will be available to purchase and have signed.
